I got the one on the below right sometime in 2021 from a freecycle page. It was structurally sound, but in need of a facelift. I tried to paint with my sprayer..and failed miserably. One of the problems with a paint sprayer is the need for so much paint to get smooth coverage. I had big problems with sputtering and running out of paint to spray well, and I was extra frustrated knowing I could have sufficiently hand painted the table with the same amount.

I ended up sanding off the bad paint job, re-priming, and letting the table sit for about another 6 months. Waiting a long time to work on the table again paid off because I found the table on the left through Facebook that was almost an exact match. Unfortunately, it was also a high maintenance table and needed repairs.
But, some glue, wood filler and a few new clamps later and it was good as renewed. 😉 And now both were ready for paint…by hand this time.
I chose to paint with Country Chic’s Liquorice, which is the same color we used on our vintage Thomasville sofa table update. Because one of the tables is laminate, having a raw wood top like the console table wasn’t possible.
And our fun liners are from a shop on Etsy, the same shop we found liners for the fabulous maple desk update.
